My friends graduation party

So, today my friend Keanna had her graduation party at Anini Beach Park. It was fun. However the drive there wasn't so great. I almost got into an accident cuz some idiot cut me off.

Anyway, out of all my friends that were swimming I was the "lucky" one and got stung by something while we were in the water. My friends thought I was just imagining things because I had so much sugar before we went swimming. However I wasn't hallucinating. I really was stung by something. So we put ice on it and things should be fine now.

My homemade ice pack.

So before swimming, my friend gave me the top part of the hat that was on her cake.
This thing was just pure frosting top and bottom and I ate it all my myself. Crazy I know.

So other than that the day was pretty uneventful

Paddle boarding for the first time

So, last Thursday, my friend Kanani and I went up to Kalihiwai and she took me up the river on her sister's paddle board. It was the first time I had been on a paddle board. Now, the interesting part was I can't swim. I didn't tell her this until we were already out on the water in the middle of the river. So internally I was freaking out. However it was a great experience for me.

As you can see I was gripping onto the board. Picture credits go to Kanani who took the picture without me knowing.

Eventually we got to the Kalihiwai bridge which was an interesting moment going under the bridge.

Farther down the river we found a nice shallow spot where Kanani and I took pictures. She lives with her uncle who's a photographer so she took several pictures of me that she's very proud of.
This was her favorite. The lighting was perfect and I take better candid pictures
One of my personal favorites

After spending some time there, we finally started heading back and she let me paddle for a little while. She had to teach me how but it was pretty fun. Getting off the board and onto land was tougher than I thought and I ended up Falling in the river and getting stuck in the mud. Unfortunately there's no picture of that but I do have a picture of Kanani on the paddle board alone which turned out nicer than I thought.
